Bochum

Three.
This time, totally spontaneously (as always), we decided to visit Bochum. It's about 30 minutes away from Dortmund and belongs also to the "Ruhrpott" (an urban area in North Rhine-Westphalia)Weather was perfect, like almost everytime we go sightseeing or simply want to be for few hours away from home.

We visited the campus of  Ruhr University Bochum (which was established in 1962), to see how does it look like. I heard different opinions. First and foremost - "it's really unpersonal". Hm.. Yeah, there's something in it, but actually it didn't bother me at all! I was spellbound, because of the architecture and the immensity of the campus. Buildings were really huge, so we honestly found it difficult to find ourselves in this maze. Rooms, corridors, lifts - everything was somehow hidden.

The biggest advantage, which was like smashing me into my face was the view. The VIEW. I could sit, enjoy my coffee, the sun, warm wind and of course this beautiful landscape. Forests, fields, grazing animals... It was somehow soothing. I needed it. So we can say like - I was compensated, not sure if students of RUB share my opinion (?).

Then we moved to the city centre and went on a stroll. Shops like everywhere, people hurrying in different directions... And then I bumped into a beautiful church. The Christuskirche, built in the neo-Gothic style. This was the favourite piece found in Bochum, although I have seen "almost nothing! I love gothic architecture. It's somehow creepy, wonderful and... maybe I will end my conclusion about it! Better like that.

spring city

Two.
This day was perfect. Warm and a bit windy. Spring was in the air, I would say. It was the best possibility to go out and take some fresh air. Our target was just to simply sit, talk and drink a coffee. Unfortunately, cafes in the city centre were full. It wasn't so surprising, that we weren't the only ones, who hit on an idea to chill in the city. "Schade". So - we took a walk.

During the stroll I took few pics of buildings, because they riveted my attention. Sunlight was refelcting in windows and it made this industrial city more friendly and somehow charming. I could spot the colours of billboards, architecture and people. Yes, people. They were definitely more colorful as usual. More relaxed. Happier. Are these signs of spring? Probably ...

I have to admit, that each day makes me like this city more and more. Don't know why. I'm just getting used to lifestyle, duties and people's peculiarity. Nevertheless there are many disadvantages, but they won't be discussed in this post. Why? Because better to focus on positive aspects. For now.

attic.

This is the first time I'm adding some kind of "description" to the post.
Actually, I have no idea, how will it work, but it'll be just a test.

Today in the afternoon, totally spontaneously I decided to go to the attic, which is precisely above our flat. I was there before. Maybe 2 times, just to leave stuff in our "part" of the attic. This time I took my camera with.
Normally people hang out their laundry here, but as I deduced - now they do it very seldom.
I would describe it as a rather dark and dreary place. I had the feeling that I came into some kind of creepy or hounted place. Especially when someone (in this case me) goes alone. The floor was creaking awfully under my steps and I could smell the dust, with every breathe I took. Nevertheless I was quite happy - illumination of the daylight allowed me to take some shots.
